Marteille Maison is a beautifully decorated and recently renovated barn with breathtaking views of the surrounding Dordogne countryside. Situated in a small hamlet 139km from Bordeaux and 77km from Bergerac, the barn sits within 2.5 acres of land with uninterrupted woodland views and sunflowers synonymous with southwest France.

Tastefully decorated with tranquil and muted tones, the 400-year-old barn conversion comfortably sleeps 14 guests. The 7-bedroom property has 5 king-sized private bedrooms with 4 en-suite bathrooms, two large twin rooms, and two large, sharing shower rooms. The property has a 12x5 x 1.5 metre heated saltwater swimming pool.

What can be a self-contained cottage is also situated inside the barn, which is available for 2 - 4 guests within the same party booking. A corridor interlinks into the large barn, holding up to 10 guests. The cottage has its own entrance through a 150-year-old vine tunnel. Once entering the cottage, you will be greeted with the open plan living space and a bespoke, hand-made oak kitchen with a range cooker. The kitchen is thoughtfully kitted with everything you would expect from a luxury holiday property. The sitting room boasts a 12.5KW log burner that takes 50cm logs and becomes the perfect cosy companion for the colder evenings. A large, kingsized master bedroom with an ensuite on the first floor has designer touches. The first floor has a separate shower room for the guest above who utilise the huge attic room, this open plan room accommodates 2 small double beds and both rooms overlook the woodland view and the 12x 5 metre heated swimming pool and stunning Dordogne countryside.

Accommodation in the light, airy barn is through the main reception room, where you’ll be greeted by a vast, high-ceilinged living room and Scandinavian designer furniture. The living room's centrepiece is a large wood-burning stove that keeps you toasty during winter. A fully functioning bread oven entices guests to make their own pizzas whilst other guests can enjoy the woodland views. Adjacent, a 400-year-old barn door takes you into a fully equipped, bespoke kitchen with underfloor heating, an American fridge freezer, and two dishwashers for the convenience of larger groups. The kitchen is filled with everything you would expect from a luxury holiday property, including a coffee machine. With seating for 10 guests around the Monastery table.

Upstairs in the recently renovated barn you will find a further 4 private, King-sized bedrooms, 2 of the kingsized bedrooms have their own ensuite shower rooms and the 3rd has it's own private mezzanine bathroom. There is a large family shower room on the landing for sharers.

Each one of these rooms is immaculately finished and tastefully decorated.

This huge kingsize private room features a tastefully decorated mezzanine bathroom and freestanding bathtub. The bedroom is complemented by a commanding, period large fireplace with a log burner and has luxurious touches throughout, perfect for unwinding after a day around the pool.

Bedroom 3 Barn

This large twin room with single beds has a shared shower room just across the landing and is perfect for sharers. The beds can also be put together to give a king-size bed.

A vast, kingsized private room with its own ensuite shower room with luxurious touches throughout.

A tasteful, large kingsize room with views of the garden and the woodland beyond has a shared shower room on the landing.
